Who was Charlie Stubbs?

Remember the friend of my grandfather that is a Hollywood actor? Well, he is in town visiting. His sister is Mary Jo, the lady I work for. His name is  Brody Bennett. He mostly does commercials but he had a part in that movie A.I. that Steven Spielberg directed. He came out to the farm for a visit and we all sat around talking. He knew my grandparents when they were young. My grandmother lives near Hollywood but he said he has not seen her. I think that is odd that they grew up together and ended up living just a few miles apart, but they do not visit. There is a lot of strange stuff about my grandparents. Like I said before there are some secrets  that no one will talk about. Turns out Brody was my grandpa's best friend in high school. He told me all about how my grandpa won the Silver Star in Vietnam and how he was killed being a hero and all kinds of shit no one has ever told me before.

Funny thing, though, everyone clammed up pretty tight when I brought up the subject of my grandmother. Check it out..here is a picture of my grandparents, Sandy and Charlie. Seems weird to think your grandmother is "hot". But come on ...she sure looks hot in this picture!

 It was fun hearing stories about what a hell raiser my grandfather was. It is hard to believe he was killed when he was only 19. That is younger than I am now.

BTW to answer the question posed in the title of this post...Charlie Stubbs was an all around good guy, a mischievous hell raiser, a war hero and my grandfather.
