when you..make that California trip. Get your kicks on Route 66!

Just when I though the scenery could not be more beautiful we entered into Arizona. I always thought of Arizona as nothing more than a tan sand desert. WOW was I in for  a surprise! 

One of my favorite old movies is The Petrified Forest with Humphrey Bogart and Bette Davis so I was curious about exploring the National Park.  It was awesome in the true sense of being in "awe". According to the information we picked up the fossils in the park are over 200 million years old. I cannot even wrap my mind around that. And then as if nature had not already offered up the most wonderful gift...we happened upon
the Painted Desert. Nothing "tan" about that sand. Everyone should have the opportunity to see this most beautiful spot at least once in their life. We could have stayed for days..but it is time to get to LA. I will always be grateful to Brody for taking the time to show me all of these wonders. He seemed to enjoy it, but I know he did it just for me and I
